Great job JAN! Don't worry about ek or Garth or anyone else on hb who thinks they know the Rangers like you or any of us die hards do. We eat, sleep & breathe NY Rangers hockey & you are a fantastic blogger who put a lot more depth & perspective into you're analysis than most do on here. Thank You again for another great season of threads.

Spot on Jan. I think all of us agree that for the Rangers to win a new special teams coach must be hired. Mike Sullivan has failed for 4 years running, each year the power play stuggles even more. About Torts, I agree with your opinion that he will return as coach. Although, if this team stuggles or goes on a prolonged losing streak, he will be replaced.

You're the best, Jan. Primarily because you are a Rangers fan but also because you care about what you do here and try to make sure we have quality content to spur discussion. We all like coming here for that last part and you do a great job of creating that environment we all enjoy.

On a side note, maybe you can talk to that Columbus blogger and tell him how to do a better job.

As for the post, I wouldn't fire Sullivan but I absolutely agree a PP coach must be added. Not saying Torts and Sulli don't know what they are doing or coaching on the PP but perhaps it's time for fresh ideas, a new voice. Sullivan does a good job with the D and I'm sure he's contributed to the development of some of our favorite young players.

Well, thank you. I do appreciate it. But you just blew my secret identity. Now everyone knows that I cheat on the Rangers with the Blue Jackets.

Terrific work Jan, you are truly the class of this site, look forward to touching on each of those 21 questions this summer

As for Torts I see no problem bringing him back with a short leash and he has to open it up a little, also he has to bring in a 2nd assistant to help with special teams, we all want Sully fired but if Torts is here that's his rit hand man

Garth should have simply titled his blog "this is what I hope happens in my fantasy world", he couldn't be anywhere near reality, Richards contract before comin off the books isn't going keep us from doing wha needs to be done

Nope. I was like Clark Kent. You could look me right in the face but simply couldn't imagine that without my Clark Kent glasses and while wearing a stupid red and blue suit with a cap I looked exactly like Superman. I had them all fooled.

You do a wonderful job Jan, its great coming here to read your blogs. Don't worry about Garth or Ek, you're the only Rangers blogger for me.

I agree with you, Torts will be back. He does have to do something though, whether its shaking up the system some, firing Mike Sullivan or adding another assistant who is a power play specialist and give Sullivan just the defense or something. The power play has been a killer for years and its reared its ugly head again. Bad enough not scoring but it was a momentum killer all season long.

This team needs to get bigger, I know people don't want to give up that extra 2nd rounder but as long as his health checks out alright I want them to resign Clowe. They were a different team with him in the lineup, you could see it. They need a big bruiser on the back end as well, someone that also has a cannon for a shot would be nice too especially for the PP. The Rangers looked like they got pushed around this series and last years team wouldn't have been pushed around. It was really bugging me that Nash was getting pushed around and people weren't paying for it and also it was like he was just taking it, he wasn't fighting back either. I want to see more fire from this team next year.

I might consider Skinner and McBain for Staal, maybe Staal-plus but Staal plays a big role for us so it wouldn't be easy. I'd have to believe that he is likely leaving here to sign in Carolina when he hits free agency before I trade him.

I never really post here much, because I feel like when I do, whatever I write gets ignored. I am not whining, or anything like that. I get it...most of you have been going at it on this site for years, and I guess it is hard for a newcomer to get a reaction from people.

But, I read your blogs all of the time, Jan, and I must say I enjoy them, and am informed by them every time I read them. I also read the reactions, and the opinions of all. Some I totally agree with, some I don't, and some I want to scrub from my mind, because they are from that far out of left field. But, I would say that many of the Ranger fans that hang here are pretty knowledgeable, and that is why I do come back to read.

Jan, you do an amazing job, and I hope you keep it up for a long time to come.

Thanks

Maybe you post at the worst time, like when we're in the middle of a big fight with each other over whether Torts should be fired and don't have time for new people. The easiest way to get our attention is to say something stupid but then we won't like you so I would advise against that. Honestly, this is a pretty good group so if you keep posting regularly and have quality comments you'll fit right in.

I was thinking Del Zotto to Calgray for Brossiant and the the Penguins 1st rounder.
